Role Summary:
We are seeking a passionate English Teacher to work within our SEN setting. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality, differentiated English lessons that meet the unique learning needs of our students while fostering confidence, resilience, and a love of learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging English lessons tailored to the individual needs of SEN students.
  • Support students' social and emotional development alongside their academic progress.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary staff to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and bespoke learning strategies.
  • Maintain a positive, supportive classroom environment that encourages student growth.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and adapting approaches as required.

Person Specification:

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with SEN or SEMH students is highly desirable.
  • Strong classroom management skills with patience and empathy.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Commitment to promoting the wellbeing and personal development of students.
