Design Manager

Our client, a growing consultancy in the water sector, is currently seeking a Design Manager to lead the delivery of various UK water projects. This contract role is based in Manchester with a hybrid working pattern.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate design across a variety of water sector schemes
• Oversee design teams and ensure quality delivery
• Support both clean and wastewater projects

Projects Include:

• Treatment works upgrades
• Clean water mains
• Storm storage & Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) schemes

Working Pattern:

• Office-based in Manchester with flexibility
• Occasional work from home (1-2 days for strong candidates)
• Site visits as required (expenses covered)

Job Requirements:

• Experience in civil design within the water sector
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent coordination and organisational abilities
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
